Zadiyah on dancing...
My experience with belly dance has been spiritual and empowering. Being able to shake and undulate my body has enabled me to purge my distress, frustrations, and pure unhappiness. As I let the music move through my body, my heart and my soul, I feel joy, love and lightness bubble up from inside of me.

This is such an incredible dance. I stand in front of the mirror and watch myself move. That is powerful.
I have been dancing for over 10 years. When I first started, I couldn't stand to look at myself in the mirror. I would look at the floor, the teacher, other dancers, anywhere but at me.
Over a period of time, (and a lot of practice), I was able to isolate, and shake, and move. Now I want to watch myself. I look good!
